Richland Parish Sheriff’s Investigators arrested David Allen Punchard, 46, of Mangham, on 19 counts of pornography involving juvenile (possession of child pornography) on June 21.
This arrest is the result of a joint investigation involving, Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Attorney General’s Office’s Cyber Crime Unit, Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police.
The investigation began nearly four weeks ago with the investigation discovering 19 images of child pornography. Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit was able to determine that these images involved children ranging in age from 4 years old to 14 years old.
At the time of arrest, a search warrant was executed on Punchard’s residence. The search resulted in the seizure of additional digital devices and/or intellectual properties. The investigation is ongoing and the items of seizure will be analyzed by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit.
“These crimes involving children are horrific and heartbreaking,” Richland Parish Sheriff Lee Harrell said. “I want to thank each agency and agent involved in this investigation.
