The Delhi Police Department along with the Richland Parish Sheriff’s office went to Delhi Elementary School during their Red Ribbon Week in Oct. 2015.
Officer Derrick Hudson and Investigator Trey Stokes went to DES to perform a K-9 demonstration. Investigator Stokes K-9 was wearing a bullet proof vest and Nikki Martien started a campaign to raise funds to purchase Delhi Police Department K-9 “Harry” a bullet proof vest.
Martien along with principal Shelley Crawford and the the DES staff and student body worked hard to raise funds for Delhi Police Department to purchase a bullet proof vest. Delhi Elementary students raised $925 for the purchase of a bullet proof vest for K-9 “Harry”.
Chief Roy Williams and the staff of Delhi Police Department would like to thank Martien, Crawford, faculty and staff of Delhi Elementary School and most important the entire student body of Delhi Elementary School for their hard work.
