Due to the flooding in Richland Parish, Citizens Progressive Bank has decided to change the dates of the 5K Color Explosion Run.

The new race date is May 21 and the deadline to register is April 21.

Participants will receive a t-shirt if you register by April 21.

Entry fee is $25 with a t-shirt only until April 21, then the fee goes to $30 and the t-shirt will have to be purchased for $15 at the race.  All children under 5 are admitted free.

Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. sharp on Cotton Street beside the brand new Citizens Progressive Bank office. It will also end there.

The run run is held each year to raise awareness and funds for the Salvation Army, the American Legion and  the Richland Council on Aging

You may pick up an entry form at any Citizens Progressive Bank location or go to the 2016 5K Color Explosion Facebook page or visit the bank’s website at www.cpbonline and click on the link to the left to register.

Last year’s event attracted more than 550 participants and organizes hope to make the run even bigger.
